In March 2010, the editorial staff of the magazine, Aeronautical Engineering visited Alpha Aviation's operation center in RJSF and interviewed the staff about the DA42. This interview will appear in the June issue of the magazine, Aeronautical Engineering, which is published by the Japan Aeronautical Engineers' Association. This article focuses on two main features of the DA42 Twin Star: (i) the composite material and (ii) the diesel engine, and concludes that these feature will be mainstream technology in general aviation in the near future. Thanks to the composite material, the DA42 is safer and more economical than other types of old aircraft. The diesel engine is electronically managed by FADEC and uses JET A-1, which is available at all airports in Japan. In Japan, AVGAS is rarely available at airports, so the diesel engine is welcome by the airplane owner.
The magazine, Aeronautical Engineering, is published by the Japan Aeronautical Engineers' Association and has an annual circulation of about 132,000 in Japan. The magazine's main readership is mostly Japanese engineers who work at airline companies, aerial companies, and people who are interested in aircraft. A growing number of people will understand the advantages of the DA42. We'll make every effort to sell the DA42 in Japan. Contact Address: |
