AERO BATICS JAPAN GRAND PRIX.
| On November 3, the FAI World Grand Prix Haute Voltige which was held in Motegi, Japan concluded successfully. This event was the biggest air show in Japan, drawing about 50,000 spectators over three days, the largest number since the Grand Prix was first held in 1998. The president of Twinrink Motegi, which is the most famous speed circuit in Japan, told us that our helicopter teams brought in the spectators.
The Alpha Aviation flight team made their dazzling debut in Japan. We had a wonderful experience during this event because we were the first Japanese pilots and the first helicopter performers. Our pilots' flights captivated the spectators and they were amazed that we flew so thrillingly. Many wanted the pilots' autographs and shook hands. Some spectators, especially those who had never seen helicopters flying like this before told us how exciting they found our flying and that they now realized that the R22 was easily maneuverable and could even fly backwards.
Fortunately, we had good weather except on Friday, November 1. It was wonderful
to watch as the three R22s drew on the blue sky with colorful smoke.
